Cancellation Policy for Mentoring Sessions:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and occasionally, you may need to cancel a scheduled mentoring session. To ensure the smooth functioning of our mentoring program, we have established the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation Window: All cancellations must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled mentoring session. This provides us with ample time to make adjustments to the schedule and allows other participants the opportunity to book the available slot.
Cancellation Procedure: Cancellations can be made by denying your Google Calendar invite you received after signing up for your mentoring session, and the reason you are cancelling your session.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be considered late cancellations. In the event of a late cancellation, the mentoring session will be charged as if it had taken place. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
No-show Policy: Failure to attend a scheduled mentoring session without prior notice (no-show) will be treated as a late cancellation. The mentor will wait for 15 minutes from the scheduled start time, after which the session will be considered a no-show.
Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule a session, please make every effort to do so within the 24-hour cancellation window. Rescheduling requests are subject to the availability of the mentor.
Communication is Key: Open communication is crucial in maintaining the effectiveness of the mentoring program. If you anticipate any challenges in making it to your scheduled session, please communicate with your mentor. Mentors may be able to postpone your original session for a same-day session later on depending on their availability on a case-by-case basis.
Mentor did not show up!: In the unlikely event your scheduled mentor misses your session, you may reschedule this session again in your student portal at no additional cost.
