• ASL Lessons ($14.99/month or $159.99/year): our complete self-paced curriculum of vocabulary, grammar and Deaf culture lessons, plus weekly practice groups and Discord. All levels welcome.
• ASL Mentoring ($29.99/month or $299.99/year): everything in ASL Lessons, plus 30 minutes of one-on-one mentoring with a Deaf mentor each month.
• ASL Mentoring+ ($84.99/month or $899.99/year): everything in ASL Lessons, plus two hours of one-on-one mentoring each month.

Our curriculum is designed to take about six months. You'll start signing in your very first lesson, and how fast you progress depends on how often you study and practice.

Yes. Our lessons, practice groups and mentoring sessions are led by Deaf native signers. Meet them on our Staff page.

No. American Sign Language is the language of instruction. Learning through immersion means you'll walk away knowing more ASL than you would from voiced lessons.

The curriculum is prerecorded, so you can pause, rewind, slow down and take notes. Practice groups and mentoring sessions are live on Zoom.

Yes. Lessons aren't designed specifically for children, but many students watch with their kids and make it a weekly family activity. We also run a Family ASL Practice Group. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult in live practice sessions.

Practice groups are for ASL Spring students on any plan. Check the Practice Schedule (times are in Eastern Time). The Zoom invite is emailed on the day of the session to the address you registered with. We recommend joining on a computer or tablet so you can see everyone.

Novice groups are relaxed and beginner-friendly. Advanced groups move at a faster conversational pace, though newer signers are welcome to watch. The Family group is for learning together at home. The weekly group is open to all levels.

It's 30 minutes one-on-one with a Deaf mentor you choose, focused on whatever you want: an extra lesson, conversation practice, interpreting feedback or questions about Deaf culture. Mentoring is included in ASL Mentoring and Mentoring+, and single sessions can be booked on the Mentoring page.

Yes. Our student Discord server, included with every plan, is where students plan their own practice sessions together.

Students on ASL Lessons, ASL Mentoring and Mentoring+ who complete the curriculum and are verified by our faculty receive a Certificate of Completion, which schools, employers and organizations can use to verify your education.

ASL Spring does not grant college credit. We offer continuing education credits (CEUs) that recognize your learning under Deaf-led instruction.

We're not an Interpreter Training Program, but our mentors can help you build fluency and give feedback on your interpreting skills during mentoring sessions.

Yes. Monthly subscriptions can move up or down at the end of any billing month. For example, if you start on ASL Mentoring and want more one-on-one time, you can switch to Mentoring+.

A household can share one account. Separate subscriptions let each person track their own progress. Mentoring hours belong to the account holder and can't be shared.

Log in to your student portal (Springboard), open Account at the top of the page (in the menu on mobile), and cancel any active membership at any time.
